What Does it Mean to be a Good Citizen?

This is a BIG project, but you are all ready for it. During the course of this WebQuest, you will:

Work as a group to:

  1. Discuss the Bill of Rights: what it is and why it is important.
  2. Research liberty, justice, and freedom. Decide what each of these ideals mean to you.
  3. Discuss what it means to be a good citizen and what good citizens do in the community.
  4. Create either a PowerPoint presentation or a YouTube video outlining what it means to be a good citizen and your group's ideas on liberty, freedom, and justice.

Individually, you will:

  1. Write a journal about your experience.

Through this project, you will learn:

  1. How to work in diverse groups, where each of you has a different idea and point of view.
  2. Learn how to research on the Internet and how to discuss your findings with your group.
  3. Create something truly unique, reflecting your group's ideas and beliefs.

Our Community

This activity is a part of our continuing effort to build a community. I hope you will learn more about the people in your group, and their different views and beliefs. Remember: we are a diverse class, as as such, we will have many different ideas and beliefs about the same topic.
